The Pontianak’s Revenge
In a small village in Kedah, there was a tale of a woman who died during childbirth, only to return as a Pontianak—a vengeful spirit seeking revenge on those who wronged her. One night, a man named Rizal, who had lived a life of greed and cruelty, was returning home through the paddy fields when he heard the cry of a baby. As he followed the sound, he came across a beautiful woman dressed in white, holding an infant. She asked him for help, but as he reached out, the woman’s face transformed into a ghastly figure, her eyes glowing with anger. Rizal screamed as the Pontianak attacked, her long nails tearing into his flesh. The next morning, his body was found lifeless in the fields, his face frozen in terror. The villagers knew the Pontianak had claimed another victim.
